The TPH is conveniently located in a comprehensive and cross-border research and technology area. The scientific institutions in Aachen, Maastricht (The Netherlands), Liège, and Hasselt (Belgium) are in close proximity. A close cooperative relationship exists with the Dutch neighbouring municipality of Kerkrade, in the form of the Eurode Business Centers, which is the first true European “on-the-border” service centre. 

Another example of an important cooperation is the Euregio Maas-Rhein. Through this relationship, businesses are able to obtain EU research funding. 

Additionally, there is the collaboration with the regional job portal Karriere.ac.
